In 2006 Block B was planted with green onion, red onions, cooking onions, cherry tomatoe, yellow tomatoes, beefsteak tomatoes, and several other tomatoes as well as several assortments of potatoes. Several rows were dedicated to extra tubers of dahlia and some donated perennial stock. The volunteers this year weeded, mowed and leveled the beds. The beds were then prepared, planted, weeded and maintained with volunteer enthusiasm. The garden managed to donate almost 500 pounds of produce to a local food kitchen and volunteers have gotten a little
something too.
