This time of year is the hardest for us gardeners, we are itching to get into the dirt. Here are a few things you can do while waiting:
Increase watering of houseplants and fertilize lightly, start tuberous begonias in pots,start seeds for annual flowers. Outside you can: start compost pile, prune trees and shrubs that bloom on new wood, check for heaving of perennials, gently push roots back into the ground or cover with some compost, plant evergreens and conifers, root hardwood cuttings.
