May 29, 2007

Was at gardens from 8:00 to 12:30pm and with a light breeze and no one around it was extremely peacefull.
Alan and Moeen arrived around 9:00 and started working on some beds and planting some tomatoes in the nursery. I continued work on the Wedding Garden, completed weeding the 1 1/2 beds left from yesterday and edging the first two of four beds along the sidewalk.
I then joined the men at the nursery garden, creating one of the four x thirty foot beds, weeding, moving and splitting some flat chives and curly mint, and replanting said herbs in the newly created bed.
Libardo arrived in the afternoon and cut the front profile of the north shrub bed. The sand layer is now complete, and all that remains is to spread a few yards of manure over the top and the beds will be ready for the shrubs donated by Humber Nurseries.
