Dick and Joe spent the morning cutting grass in the nursery and digging up several rows of potatoes. The lawn mower handle snapped and grass cutting was halted, and the break doesn’t look repairable.
If anyone has an old mower that can be cannibalized for parts we’ll ‘treat it with dignity’ as they say.
Sod has been removed from front edge of north shrub bed in the Wedding Garden, but, the tractor was not available so leftover sand was not put in place. Maybe tomorrow!?
The test section of tomato support frame in the nursery garden is gone and replace with 30ft long framework. The easternmost tomato beds will be a demonstration for support structure. There will be wood stakes, spiral steel stake, bamboo teepee and tomato cages.
