Cover exposed soil with a layer of shredded leaves.

Keep watering your trees, shrubs and plants until ground freezes.

When frost has touched rose hips, collect and store for a richly packed vitamin C tea throughout the winter.

Dig up, wash and air dry all tubers and corms from dahlias, cannas, glads, and begonias etc. Once frost has decimated them. Store inside a cool, dry spot. After you have dusted them with a fungicide.

Harvest grapes after first frost.

Clean leaves from eavestroughs and downspouts.
