Things to do in February
Bring in branches of spring flowering trees and shrubs for forcing.
Repot and prune indoor plants.
Take geraniums out of storage, repot water well and put in well lit area.
Sow seeds for perennial flowers.
Check for winter damage to trees and shrubs. Repair as needed.
Root cuttings of pothos, wandering jew and swdish ivy in water to give away.
Towards the end of the month or early March., start seeds indoors for vegetables such as cabbage, onions, leeks, and leafy greens, herbs such as chives and more perennials.
Check houseplants. Make sure there is enough humidity. Check for pests.
Get ready to force seeds indoors by cleaning your pots. Setting up a lighting system and preparing labels.
make a list of bad performers in the garden and consider replacements.
Inspect garden tools and sharpen. Clean or repair those in need.
