Update on Joe's condition......

He's broken a small bone between his thumb and the index finger. Had to wait a couple of days for a scan. Now it's in a cast for at least six weeks. It's awkward for him to do things and he's been told to be careful using his hand as it might break the bone again. He's currently working on clearing up his garden but the heavy stuff that was planned will have to wait.
