Linda and I arrived at 9 am and collected the forks required to load the straw onto the truck. Alan pulled in just as we were leaving. We stopped and he hopped in the back. Linda, Alan and I moved 3 large truckloads of straw left behind by the fair into the nursery around Block B and another load to Block D this morning. Phyllis was by working on her row and let us know that she had property fence at her place that could be brought up if we had help. Alan will take a look to see if we can use the boards. He had a previous engagement and left us to move more straw. Moeen pulled in and joined Linda and I. We moved 3 more truckloads. We dropped one in front of Block A, one in front of Block C and one in front of Block D.
We decided not to burn out the muscles and switched to pulling a few weeds and covering up some of the rows with the straw. We also worked on the peony beds covering up the new acquisitions to help get them over their first winter. Pulled out at 1:30pm.
