January 15: Annular eclipse of the Sun This eclipse will not be visible from North America. It will be visible from Africa, India, and China, while a partial solar eclipse will be visible from Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.

June 25: Partial eclipse of the Moon (June 25-26) This eclipse will be fully visible only from Hawaii. The Moon enters penumbra at 10:56 P.M. HAST on June 25 and leaves penumbra at 4:21 A.M. on June 26. It will be partially visible from western and central North America. The Moon enters penumbra at 1:56 A.M. PDT on June 26 and enters umbra at 3:17 A.M. PDT. However, the Moon will have set before the eclipse exits umbra at 6:00 A.M. PDT. Only a penumbral eclipse will be visible from most of the East Coast, starting on June 26 at 4:56 A.M. EDT before the Moon sets.

July 11: Total eclipse of the Sun This eclipse will not be visible from North America. It will be visible only from the South Pacific Ocean and parts of South America.

December 21: Total eclipse of the Moon This eclipse will be fully visible from North America. The moon enters penumbra at 12:28 A.M. EST on December 21 and leaves penumbra at 6:06 A.M. EST on December 21.
