Hubby and I arrived at the nursery around 2:30pm. Alan, Brian and Marilyn were potting dahlias near Block D. We said hello and talked for a few moments and then headed to Block B to clear some overgrown weeds around the peony beds and in the herb garden. Picked some of the rhubarb and Marilyn and Brian took it home.
During the clean up we found several toads hopping about and startled a baby bunny hiding in the growth of the herb garden.
Left at 5:00pm after helping Alan pack up a few things.
The gardens really need the volunteer help this year. With all this rain we have had the weeds are taking hold, no volunteers means the gardens will disappear.
