Arrived at the nursery 09:00. Prepped and laid out bed D11 and planted 08 x ‘Yellow Star’ and 32 x ‘White Red Fleck’ dahlias. Watered new plantings. Just 5 dahlias - red dwarfs - still to plant, and they can go to fill in any gaps that appear in the display bed edges. Sikh ‘retreat’ set for this weekend in the main fairground buildings. Brought first load of vegetable trimmings from the kitchen tent and dumped on block H. Got soaked in a sudden rain squall, so locked up at 11:30.
