At 10am we arrived at the nursery to do a bit of weeding and mend one of the large composters by block b. Alan, Moeen and Jessica were weeding in block E. Lucas and Spencer had also joined Alan and were lounging in the shade by the back of the van.

Hubby and I weeded several rows in block c. Jessica joined us for the last row. Block C has several rows at the gate end that need to be weeded and this bed will be clear.

Moeen left, Jessica left shortly after him. Alan went off to mend a hose that had been cut in the driveway. Someone or something had literally taken a 6 foot section and cut it at both ends.
Alan left around 12:30

Hubby and I went over and pulled weeds in block b, trimmed some of the overgrown herbs, and picked raspberries.

Before leaving Alan gave everyone a cabbage. Hubby and I got two (one each/2 1/2 lbs a piece).
We finished what we could for the day, cleaned and packed up and then headed for the gate locking it behind us.

Update from Alan
Brought Lucas and Spencer to the garden at 09:00. Jessica and Moeen worked on weeding the remainder of block E. The block is now substantially clear of waist-high weeds. Margaret and Brian arrived and started clearing the weeds from the hemerocallis beds in block C. Cut five ‘Copenhagen’ cabbages - about 15 lbs altogether - for volunteers. Margaret locked up about 13:00.
